A fine quality example, depicting Nelson in uniform, wearing hat, on black glass, the colours still bright, in original 7ins x 8ins blackened wood frame and glazed, with paper label on back reading ‘Attributed work of Peter Rouw. 1808.  (English Modeller)’, slight rubbing to wood finish, otherwise good condition £100-£140

Peter Rouw (1771-1852) was famous for his marble and wax portraits of important people of the time.
