This coin is likely the work of a contemporary forger, the reverse legend is misspelt as cot f f sig and is inconsistently sized. However the remainder of the design appears very good.
It is likely a silver plated copy with a copper core. Within a small crack running from 3 o’clock to 7 o’clock, there are gaps where a red tint can be seen coming through. There also appears to be a small area right of the lituus where some copper may have come through and oxidised.
No other examples of this misspelling are currently known, making this a rather unusual specimen.
