British Iron Age, CATUVELLAUNI, Cunobelin, AD 8-41, Stater, Wild B type [Class 5], ca mv divided by ear of barley with five pairs of grains, stem base has a single short curl attached to the right, rev. cvno below, large ringed pellet below horse bounding right with dashes for mane, star and branch above, 5.39g/5h (Ghey 5, this coin; Sills O52/R98; ABC 2783). Some surface marks, reverse struck off-centre, otherwise very fine with mottled hoard patina £400-£600
