George Drummond was born at Hamilton, Lanarkshire, in 1894, and attested for the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) on 9 April 1912. He served with the 6th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 20 March 1915, and was discharged on account of wounds on 25 January 1916. He died at Glassford, Lanarkshire, in 1931.
