Captain Harry Denison served with the 90th Light Infantry as part of Havelock’s 1st relief Force and took part in the second defence of Lucknow. He was dangerously wounded in the right arm at Lucknow, whilst securing one of the outposts at the palaces on the 6th October 1857. It proved necessary to amputate his arm and he died of his wounds on the 29th October.
