This clasp was authorized in 1968 for service in Vietnam between 24 December, 1962 and 29 May, 1964. After this date, service qualified for the Australian Vietnam Medal and consequently this clasp was awarded to 68 Australian troops only who were all members of the Australian Army Training Team.
