Charles William Ford was twice wounded during the Great War, the first time in the attack at Leuze Wood on 9 September 1916; and the second time in 1917 during the defence of Tadpole Copse. He was discharged on 23 August 1918 as a result of being no longer fit for military service due to the effects of wounds.

William Dresch received a gunshot wound on 3 October 1916 during a tour of the trenches at Les Boeufs. As a result of his wound he was deemed to be fit only for home service, in which capacity he served until being discharged on 14 March 1919.
