Thomas George Simmonds was born at Wallingford, Berkshire and enlisted at Winchester. He died of wounds in France and Flanders on 12 March 1917 whilst serving with the 1/4th Battalion, Royal Berkshire Regiment. He is buried at Heath Cemetery, Harbonnieres, Somme, France.
