Lieutenant-Colonel Raynor Oswold Bradley was born in 1893 and first commissioned in 1912, becoming a Squadron Officer in the 29th Lancers in 1913. Promoted Captain in 1916 and with the Army Remount Department from 1923 onwards, he attained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1938.
