Arthur Octavian Boyd was born on 29 September 1891, and was educated at Rugby and R.M.A., Woolwich. He served in France and Belgium from August to October 1914, and from July 1915 until July 1916, being wounded twice. He was subsequently Military Assistant, Ordnance Factory, Woolwich, 1917-29, and was promoted Lieutenant-Colonel in 1925. He died at Camberley on 27 April 1958, aged 76. Sold with a copy portrait photograph and a group photograph taken on the occasion of the visit to the Royal Arsenal by H.R.H. The Duke of York in November 1927.
