Samuel Thomas Wilson was born in Manchester and enlisted at Rotherham, Yorkshire. He died of wounds in France and Flanders on 9 October 1918, whilst serving with the 21st Battalion, Manchester Regiment. He is buried at Serain Communal Cemetery Extension, Aisne, France.
