James II (1437-1460), Groat, type III, Edinburgh, mm. crown, taller crown with trefoil-pointed spikes, saltires by neck, double saltire stops, broken es and long curling gs, 3.22g/6h (cf. B 28; S 5236). A little off-centre and bust slightly double-struck, otherwise almost very fine (£150-200)
