J. Hallam attested into the Leicestershire Regiment and served in South Africa as a Lance Corporal with the 1st Battalion during the Boer War.

Sold with copied medal roll extract, confirming clasp entitlement and the additional issue of a ‘Lang’s Nek’ clasp. He is additionally entitled to a King’s South Africa Medal with the usual two clasps.
