Albert Medal, 2nd Class, for Gallantry in Saving Life on Land, bronze and enamel; Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 3 clasps, Tel-El-Kebir, The Nile 1884-85, Abu Klea; Army L.S. & G.C., E.VII.R.; Army Meritorious Service Medal, G.V.R., 1st issue; Khedive’s Star, dated 1882, mounted for display, good very fine (5) £160-£200

A.M. London Gazette 23 December 1890:
‘In recognition of gallantry displayed on the occasion of a fire which took place at the Wellington Barracks, London, on 12 November 1890. The fire was in the soldier’s married quarters and he and others saved a number of children from the roof.’
