Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., 3rd issue, small letter reverse (747. Pte. E. Power, 2-5th. Foot) minor edge bruises, nearly extremely fine £80-£100

Edward Power was born in Waterford, Ireland, in 1834 and attested for the 5th Fusiliers at Liverpool on 12 December 1857. He served with the 2nd Battalion overseas in Mauritius for four years and five months, and in South Africa for four years and three months, and was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medals with gratuity in 1876. He was discharged on 31 December 1878, after 21 years and 20 days’ service.
