Three: Able Seaman V. G. C. Walker, Royal Navy, who served in H.M.S. Minotaur at the Battle of Jutland

Victor George Charles Walker was born in Croydon, Surrey, on 28 August 1898 and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy Second Class on 3 November 1914. He served in H.M.S. Minotaur from 23 July 1915 until the cessation of hostilities, and was present in her at the Battle of Jutland, 31 May 1916, when Minotaur served as flagship of the 2nd Cruiser Squadron. Advanced Leading Seaman on 12 July 1917, he was shore pensioned on 28 August 1928, after 12 years’ man’s service.
