Sutlej 1845-46, for Moodkee 1845, 2 clasps, Ferozeshuhur, Sobraon (Gunner C. Moore, 3rd Brigade H. Ay.) some edge bruising and contact marks, about very fine £500-550

Charles Moore, a Joiner from Wells in Somerset enlisted at Manchester in December 1835 for unlimited service in the H.E.I.C. Artillery. He arrived in Calcutta in January 1837, having twice previously deserted. He served in the 1st Sikh War with the 2nd Troop 3rd Brigade and was present at the battles of Moodkee, Ferozeshuhur and Sobraon. With the same unit in the 2nd Sikh War, he was present at the battle of Chilianwala but was killed at the battle of Goojerat. Sold with copied research.
