John Hogan, a native of Lower Shannon, Cork, enlisted in the H.E.I.C’s Artillery at Manchester in June 1839. Originally posted to the 4th Company, 1st Battalion, Bengal Artillery, he later served in the 2nd Battalion, and appears to have been admitted to a pension in December 1859.
