William Nelson Watts was born on 5 December 1915. A Provisions Salesman by occupation, he was called up for military service on 16 May 1940. Serving in the 51st Heavy Anti Aircraft Regiment R.A., he saw service in Italy. Postwar he lived at 88 High Street, Alton, Hampshire.

Sold with a quantity of original papers including: M.I.D. Certificate (named to Sergeant W. A. Watts); Soldier’s Service and Pay Book; Soldier’s Release Book, Class “A”; National Registration Identity Card; 51st H.A.A. Regt. R.A. Testimonial, 24 January 1946; medal and emblem forwarding slips and photographs.
