Carl Woodford, who was born in February 1968, entered the Royal Air Force in July 1986. By trade a Mess Steward, he was advanced to Senior Aircraftman shortly afterwards, and served at Dhahran in the Gulf War prior to taking his discharge in July 1992; sold with a portrait photograph, Saudi Arabian medal certificate and assorted photocopies from his discharge papers, one of the latter stating that he served as a personal attendant to H.R.H. the Duke of Edinburgh during a royal visit to R.A.F. Finningley in August 1991.
