630 Sergeant James Bearup, 43rd Light Infantry, served in the New Zealand Wars of 1863-66 and was present at the actions at Naratu, Gate Pa, Tekanya and other skirmishes. He was afterwards transferred to the 1st Administrative Battalion North Yorkshire Volunteers. Sold with copied confirmation.
