Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902 (2), 1 clasp, Cape Colony (7454 Pte. J. Wedderburn, Noth’d. Fus.), correction to several letters of surname, replacement suspension rod, carriage showing evidence of further clasp(s) now removed; another (8243 Pte. C. Holland, Manch. Regt.), this last lacking suspension/clasps, nearly very fine and better (2) £60-80

James Wedderburn was born in the Parish of Byker, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. A Brassfinisher by occupation and a member of the 2nd Volunteer Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, he attested for one year’s service on 24 January 1900, aged 20 years, 4 months. Posted to South Africa, he served there from 24 February 1900 until 19 May 1901. He was discharged on 27 May 1901. For his service he was awarded the Q.S.A. Medal with clasps for Cape Colony, Orange Free State and Transvaal. Sold with copied attestation papers.

Charles Holland was born in the Parish of St. James, Manchester. A Carter by occupation, he attested for the Militia on 14 October 1901, aged 17 years, 4 months. He was embodied on 6 January 1902. Sold with copied Militia attestation papers.
