George Washbourne served with the Stockport detachment of the B.R.C.S. from September 1914, then aged 25 years. Employed as an Orderly, he served in the Sir Ralph Pendlebury Auxiliary Hospital, Stockport, and at Boulogne, France, first entering the France/Flanders theatre of war on 1 October 1915. His period of service with the B.R.C.S. ended in January 1919. Sold with copied m.i.c. and extract from B.R.C.S. archives.
