Cavalry officer’s sword, 1796 pattern light cavalry officer’s sword, the 82cm curved fullered blade by Henry Osborn blued and gilt for much of its length, with crowned GR, Royal Arms, stands of arms, english rose, mounted dragoon, etc., the blue finishing with ornate blued floral scrolls, the remainder of the blade of bright steel, blade retains approx. 80% of blue and gilt decoration, good quality faceted regulation steel stirrup guard, ferrule and eared backstrap again faceted en-suite, leather covered wood grip bound with silver wire, complete with steel scabbard, small neat restoration to top of grip, scabbard patinated overall and with dent to back edge, otherwise in good condition £1000-1200
