Infantry officer’s sword, 1796 pattern, the straight 81cm fullered blued and gilt blade retaining approx 75% of its original finish, crowned GR cypher, etc., good quality fire-gilt regulation hilt, folding side guard, quillon and urn shaped pommel deeply chased with acanthus leaves hilt retains almost all gilding, twisted silver wire binding to grip, complete with its black leather scabbard, broken in two but complete with its three gilt mounts, scabbard damage as noted, otherwise in very good condition, blade will not fully enter scabbard £300-350
