Royal Sussex Light Infantry Militia, an extremely rare and hitherto probably unrecorded other ranks glengarry badge, c1874-81, a die-stamped white metal Garter Star with a ribboned bugle horn on the top point, along the base an ornate scroll ‘Royal Sussex’, two original loop fasteners; together with one only white metal collar badge being a small white metal eight pointed star with central cross and title strap ‘Royal Sussex Lt Infy Militia’; two officer’s silver plated flat coatee buttons, c1790-1820, to the Sussex Militia, eight pointed star with central cross and ‘Sussex’ strap; central section only from a Royal Fusiliers officer’s bullion and metal cap badge, gilt Garter motto with central silver rose, very good condition (5) £200-250
