Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Shilling, Gp E, mm. tun, smaller bust with single-arched crown and more upswept collar, large mark of value, rev. similar, 5.89g/4h (Sharp F3/1; SCBI Brooker 515-16; N 2229; S 2796). Weak in places, otherwise very fine with a clear portrait and virtually as struck, most attractive light grey/olive tone (£150-200)
