Charles I (1625-1649), Hartlebury Castle mint, Halfcrown, mm. pear on obv., three pears on rev., horseman left, rev. oval shield garnished with lis and scrolls, hc in garniture at foot, 14.39g/12h (SCBI Brooker 1137, same dies; N 2626; S 3129). Weak in places and struck on an irregular flan, strictly about very fine but the mintmarks and King’s face well struck up, rare (£2,000-2,500)
