Ramsey & Isle of Man Bank, One Pound, 18—, unissued, although partly filled in with date 1810 and signature of Llewellyn McWhannell (Quarmby 218). A couple of spots and a tape mark on the back, otherwise good very fine (£90-120)
A specious note. The bank was owned by Llewellyn McWhannell, who issued card money in Ramsay in 1810. Its existence in the Rolls Court is noted up to 1826; the bank probably ceased trading shortly after that
