One Pound, 2 November 1864, A prefix, uniface proof on paper, ‘To this 6 Augt. 1864’ pencilled at bottom centre (Douglas 17). Thinning on two corners and a small hole on third, otherwise good very fine to about extremely fine (£200-250)

New designs were prepared after the bank registered under the Companies Act in 1863. This and the following four lots were all printed by Perkins, Bacon & Co, London, with the notes payable in both Glasgow and Edinburgh
