The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) Militia Battalions, a fine quality officer’s shoulder belt plate 1901-08, pattern as for Line battalions but with metals reversed, silver plated engine turned back plate with gilt Thistle star scrolls and St. Andrew silver plated KC over thistle sprays and Thistle motto and Sphinx, usual hooks and stud fasteners; together with the companion rectangular waist belt plate, both retailed by Anderson & Sons Edinburgh, some gilt loss on the first item, otherwise good condition (2) £280-320
