Charles I (1625-1649), Hartlebury Castle mint, Halfcrown, mm. pear on obv., three pears on rev., horseman left, rev. oval shield garnished with lis and scrolls, hc in garniture at foot, 14.62g/12h (SCBI Brooker 1137, same dies; N 2626; S 3129). Weak in places and struck on an irregular flan as usual, tiny edge nick above King’s head, otherwise very fine or better for issue, toned (£3,000-3,500)
