Frank John William Wagstaff served during the Great War as a Private in the 11th (County of London) Battalion, The London Regiment (Finsbury Rifles) from 5 February to 21 June 1917, and from 3 January 1918 to 24 January 1919. He entered the Royal Household in 1923 and served as a Chauffeur in the Royal Mews. He was awarded the Long and Faithful Service Medal on 16 June 1943, on completion of 20 years service, and the Royal Victorian Medal in Silver on 1 January 1948. Frank Wagstaff retired on 1 March 1949.
