Joseph Archibald Ayers, who was born in Kentish Town, Middlesex, and served in the 2nd Battalion, died at Richmond Military Hospital on 24 January 1917, aged 29 years. He left a widow, Nellie, of Camden Park Road, London, and is buried in Richmond Cemetery; sold with his marriage certificate, dated 12 July 1915, and Borough of Richmond invoice for his burial, dated 29 January 1917.
