Africa General Service 1902-56, 1 clasp, Kenya (2/Lt. C. N. Oakden, Seaforth) with refixed suspension (lacking claw) and severe edge bruising, thus fine £150-200
Oakden was commissioned in the Seaforth Highlanders in September 1953, and joined the 1st Battalion direct from Eaton Hall in the following year. Attached to the 5/King’s African Rifles in early 1955, he served in the Mau Mau Troubles and was advanced to Lieutenant in May of the same year; sold with a file of research.
