1 officer and 15 other ranks of the Military Police served at Suakin in 1885.
William Akers was born at Bengeo, Hertford, and enlisted into the 20th Hussars at Woolwich on 9 July 1878, aged 18. He transferred to the Corps of Military Mounted Police in April 1883, and served in Egypt from February 1885 to August 1886. He was discharged on payment of £15 on 11 March 1889. Sold with copy discharge papers.
