India General Service 1895-1902, 1 clasp, Punjab Frontier 1897-98 (752 Pte. W. Bennett, 1st Bn. Som. Lt. Infy.) good very fine £100-120

William Bennett was born in Devon. A Plumber by occupation, he attested for the 10th Brigade at Belfast on 25 January 1877, aged 18 years. With the Somerset Light Infantry he served in India, October 1878-May 1883; Gibraltar, November 1891-December 1893; India, December 1893-February 1898. Served in the Mohmand Expedition 1897. He was discharged on 3 April 1901 having completed his period of service. Sold with copied service papers.
