Stuart McWilliam, a native of Romiley, Cheshire, was killed in action during the German “Spring Offensive” on 15 March 1918, while serving in the 7th Battalion, King’s Shropshire Light Infantry. His original grave in the London Cemetery at Neuville-Vitasses was destroyed and he is today commemorated on the Wancourt Cemetery Memorial.
