Ronald Walter Fairlamb was commissioned from Cadet into the Royal Artillery on 5 July 1942. Appointed a War Substantive Lieutenant in January 1943; Temporary Captain, November 1943; Lieutenant, R.A. (T.A.), May 1948; Captain, R.A. (T.A.), October 1948; Captain, Unattached List, June 1949.
The Efficiency Decoration to Fairlamb is listed in The Efficiency Decoration, by J. M. A. Tamplin as one of 35 E.D. awards for ‘Singapore’ for the period 1948-61.
Sold with Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs document to accompany the Efficiency Decoration, dated 16 January 1961; Dunkirk Veterans’ Association Medal award document; Dunkirk Veterans’ Association 50th Anniversary Grand Parade Order of Service, with two tickets; and registered envelope addressed to Fairlamb in Singapore.
