C. Watts-Morgan was born on 4 September 1930. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Gloucestershire Regiment on 18 April 1953 and in January 1955 was advanced to Lieutenant. Upon completing his National Service, it seems likely he went to Uganda in some capacity. After that country’s independence, he then returned to the U.K. and entered the Royal Air Force, serving in the Provost and Security Branch as a Pilot Officer in 1963. He was advanced to Flight Officer on 8 January 1964 and Flight Lieutenant on 8 February 1966. Watts-Morgan retired on 23 October 1979. Sold with some copied service details and a clothing name tag, ‘P/O. C. Watts-Morgan ... October, 1963’. Note: The Gloucestershire Regiment did not serve as a unit in Malaya.
