Leonard Bainbridge was born in Goring, Sussex in May 1904 and entered the Royal Navy as a Boy 1st Class in July 1921. Awarded his L.S. & G.C. Medal in May 1937, he died in Goring, Sussex in March 1964, presumably having seen active service in the 1939-45 War; sold with file of research, including copied service record (to 1929) and birth & death certificates.
