Thomas Rowberry was born in idderminster, Worcestershire. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the Scots Guards at London on 31 August 1881, aged 19 years, 1 month. With them he served in Egypt, 30 July-14 November 1882, and was there again, 21 February-8 July 1885, followed by service in Cyprus, 9 July-10 September 1885. He was transferred to the Army Reserve on 30 August 1888 and discharged on 30 August 1893. Sold with copied service papers. Sold with an associated photograph.
