18th Century, Repeal of the Stamp Act, 1766, a silver medal by T. Pingo, bust of William Pitt left, rev. the man who having saved the parent pleaded with success for her children, 40mm (Eimer 34; BHM 100; E 713; Betts 516). Tiny obverse rim fault at 4 o’clock, otherwise extremely fine and attractively toned, rare in silver (£300-400)
