Auction Catalogue
Anne (1702-1714), Crown, 1707 E, second bust, E below, sexto, variety with colon after the date and a stop between the digits 1 and 7 (ESC 103 var.). Fine but cleaned (£80-100)
Variations in the stops occur on a number of early English milled coins. This variations have not studied in any depth and for this reason it is impossible to assess the rarity of individual varieties, though commonsense suggests that at least some may have been struck from only one pair of dies.
