Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Delhi (W. Killeen, 1st Bn. 60th Rifles) some contact marks, very fine £400-450
William Killeen enlisted at Cork for the 60th Royal Rifles on 24 May 1853. In July the same year he sailed for India. During the supression of the Indian Mutiny he served at Meerut and at Delhi. It was was during the seige of Delhi, on 12 September 1857, that Private Killeen died of sun stroke. Sold with copied research.
