Batson, R.M.) officially impressed naming; China 1857-60, 1 clasp, Canton 1857 (R.M.L.I.) depot impressed naming; Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., wide suspension (Pte. R.M. 42nd Coy. 22 Yrs.) this with traces of brooch marks to the obverse; Turkish Crimea 1855, British issue, depot impressed naming; together with another Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., narrow suspension, probably awarded to his son (David E. Batson, Sergt. 46th Co. R.M.L.I.) contact marks, otherwise generally very fine (5) £350-450
Confirmed on the Crimea Medal roll of H.M.S. London for Balaklava and Sebastopol only. The Balaklava clasp is very scarce on an officially impressed medal to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.
