James IV (1488-1531), Light coinage, Groat, Edinburgh, mm. crown on obv. only, stars by neck, iiii at end of legend, no stops, rev. three pellets and annulet in first and fourth, mullets in second and third quarters, star stops, 2.38g/7h (cf. SCBI 35, 851; B. 15a, fig. 675A; S 5342, this coin illustrated). Hairline scratch in first and third quarters of reverse, otherwise very fine with a pleasing tone
