War Substantive R.Q.M.S. Alfred Thomas Henry Hatchard, R.A.C. was appointed Lieutenant (Quartermaster) on the General List in 1942 (London Gazette 12 May 1942). Awarded the Army L.S. & G.C. (London Gazette 9 April 1948). Promoted to Major (Quartermaster) in 1953 (London Gazette 4 August 1953). He retired with the honorary rank of Major (Q.M.) in 1948 (London Gazzette 11 April 1958).
