British War Medal 1914-20 (1863S.A. C. Doughty, 2 Hd. R.N.R.); Mercantile Marine War Medal 1914-18 (William C. Stewart) good very fine (2) £40-60

Second Hand Charles Doughty, Royal Naval Reserve, was killed in action when H.M. Trawler Cantatrice was mined off Yarmouth, on 5 November 1916. His name is commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial.

First Engineer William Cunningham Stewart of the S.S.
Lough Fisher, was killed on 30 March 1918, aged 46 years. The vessel was intercepted by a German submarine 12 miles S.S.E. of Helvick Head on that date. The submarine surfaced and opened fire, sinking the steamship, killing the Captain and 12 men. Stewart, born in Glasgow, was the son of Daniel and Anne Stewart and husband of Alice Ninita Kate Boon Stewart of 3 Adair Street, Seaside, Aberavon, Port Talbot, Glamorgan. His name is commemorated on the Tower Hill Memorial.
