T. H. M. Barry, Assistant Steward, S.S. Waimana. ‘At 13.00 hrs. 19th February 1926, in the Caribbean Sea, James Revell fell overboard on passage to New Zealand in shark infested sea. Barry jumped after him and with aid of a lifebuoy kept him afloat for 45 minutes until picked up by a boat’ (ref. R.H.S. Case48,610).
